Messin’ With the Messenger, Ambiguously
"A messenger cannot be beaten.” ~Luyia proverb, Western Kenya
“I had to eat my words.” ~Unknown
Messengers transport
the words, but if news is bad
they might get eaten.

(Note: the prompt is from Sunday Scribblings. The word is 'messenger.')
Better hope it's a Chocolate Messenger then...(my favourite store)

That explains why diplomatic speak is so ambiguous these days, they are worried about being eaten!
ReplyDeleteWas it the Bond films where messages had to be eaten or disposed of before they exploded! I know this is not a literal exploration but now words are rarely written on paper can we still eat them at all? My keyboard looks too crunchy..thanks for making me :) Jae
ReplyDeletegood one RJ. loved the final line.
