Empty

You see my face?

An empty space.

You would suppose

I’d have a nose.

 “Hey, artist guys!

Where are my eyes

and mouth and hair.

No ink to spare?!”

But wait.  A check…

Whew.  Got a neck.

My shoulders? Short.

(They’re down a quart.)

“Please – illustrate

each facial trait

and make my head

full-drawn instead.”
