...by the light of the moon...

if I had a string
long enough, I’d hold on tight
and fly with the moon

to catch a moonbeam
takes imagination and
a lasso of dreams

Notes:  The form is 5/7/5 Haiku.  Poets United Think Tank Thursday's prompt is 'moon.'

  6. The lasso of dreams reminds me of George Bailey "lassoing the moon" for Mary... your pairing of images of verse is lovely, RJ. I saw the moon prompt but petered out before I came up with anything; however, I did salute the full moon this evening as I drove home from rehearsal! Peace, Amy

  8. Don't we all want to fly with the moon or capture its beauty eternally? Lovely.
