You never know what you might find...

Poetry Tow Truck has an really unique, interesting idea - watch a TV show, but don't watch the people.  Instead, check out the background on the show, list what you see (or find) there - and write something about that.  Because first, I have to find the time to watch some TV, those thoughts will find themselves in a later post (later today, that is.)

But in the meantime, if you check their pages, you'll be sure to find some cool word prompts at Sis/Few Miles and Writer's Island.  SiS/Few Miles' word today?  Debris.  Writer's Island 's word today?  Foretell.

And with that, let me just add that I hope you find this post entertaining and fun.

Hate to throw stuff out?

Disposophobia leads

to debris rescue.

(Disposophobia, as the name implies, means fear of throwing stuff out.  And just so you know, I don't actually do dumpster diving...I just thought it was a real find as far as subject matter was concerned.)

earthquake, war and plague,

but also joy and happiness,

since I predict it vague.

The future is uncertain

and that we know for sure.

But cross my palm with silver ~

Flashy Lady? Me!

Guess what???

I am gonna be the newest Flashy Lady over at Flashy Fiction. Yep. That's right! The Monday Woman!

An explanation...

First - if you haven't checked out this website, you should. Every day, a different member of the Classy Lassie 7 posts a prompt. Maybe a photo, a quote, some artwork or even just an interesting line. The idea is to write a short piece of fiction (flash fiction) which has been inspired by the prompt. It's fun and a great exercise for writing, too - and the flash fiction writers there are talented, supportive and utterly cool!

Anyway...

Due to some personal circumstances, one of the original 7 had to step down after this week.

I am really sorry things came about in such a way - and I hope that circumstances change for the better for this very Flashy Lady. My thoughts are with her and her family.

But...

They needed a new seventh person. I'm it.
